Learning to play the piano doesn’t have to be the 18 year quest with thousands of dollars spent and one on one instruction with a teacher who chances are can’t play without reading sheet music.  In the past this was are only option.

We needed to hire a teacher to come to our home or go to theirs.  We would pay them a lot of money per half hour to sit there and tell us what we are doing wrong and to slap our hands when we hit a wrong note.  I know.  I tried to play piano the traditional way and failed miserable 3 times.  Yes I am a 3 times failure.

But the fact is that there a better way.  I discovered how to do this by accident and then all of the sudden within 18 months I was playing dueling piano shows without reading a lick of sheet music.  Now you may not want to play dueling piano shows and that is okay.

I also play for my church on Sundays and love every minute of it.  And really my favorite time at the piano is when I get to just sit down in the comfort of my how and just play whatever I want and mix it up a little.
